OSSD Mission Statement

The mission of the Oneida Special School District is to educate, motivate, and enable each student to reach his or her full potential to become productive members of the ever-changing 21st century world.

Proof of Quarantine

The safety of your child and our staff is of the utmost importance as we begin the new school year. If your child is placed under quarantine by the Health
Department, we ask that you please provide your child’s school with documentation of the quarantine order within 24 hours. Please see attached document.

COVID19 Letter

Oneida Special School District Community,

As you know, we have been out of school since Monday. However, in the spirit of full transparency, I wanted to let you all know that I was just informed today by our local health department that a member of our school community tested positive for COVID-19.

Oneida Middle School Fantasy of Trees Auction

Bidding is open for the Oneida Middle School Fantasy of Trees Auction. Online bidding will close on Thursday, November 18 @ 4:45 p.m. Open house will be Thursday, November 18 from 5:00-7:00 with in person bidding.
All trees must be picked up on Friday, November 19 by appointment.

OHS Fall Picture Dates

OHS Fall Pictures will be taken August 2 for football and cheer and August 3 for Underclassmen.

OHS Transfer and Orientation Day

We will have a short assembly in the gym, then
have a meet and greet with teachers, staff, &
administration. Parents/Students are welcome
to tour the school, receive schedules, find their
classes, visit with teachers/coaches, and
information tables.

TNDOE Announces Oneida High a Reward School

Congratulations to Oneida High School for being named a REWARD SCHOOL by the Tennessee Department of Education!!! We are very proud of their accomplishments and thankful for all their hard work and dedication to the students in our community. Great job!

Student Breakfast and Lunch Pick-Up - OSSD School Nutrition

Due to Veterans Day, OSSD School Nutrition will be doing our virtual student breakfast and lunch pick up on Tuesday, November 10. On Wednesday, November 18, we will be serving 14 days to cover November 25. There will be no pick up on Wednesday, November 25.

Rita Turchetta with THEC/TSAC and Ruthie Cawood will walk families through the FAFSA and answer your questions related to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

FAFSA - Zoom Meeting - Today

There is a financial aid meeting with Rita Turchetta tonight from 5-6. She has a lot of good information on FAFSA, scholarships, and financial aid.

NEW INFORMATION: Oneida Schools Closing thru 3/31/20

The Oneida Special School District will be dismissing schools on March 16 at 12:30. Schools will be closed from March 17-31. PLEASE SEE PRESS RELEASE ATTACHED.

The district has several resources available for families which will be sent home with students on Monday. Additional information can be found on the district's social media pages and this website.

Lady Indians Return to State

The OHS Lady Indians won their sub-state game Saturday night to win another trip to Murfreesboro. The Lady Indians will play Thursday vs. Loretto at 4:30PM CST.
