Description of the Course:

 

Students will be reading novels, plays, and short stories that are selected from the AP Reading List and from the

the Roane State syllabus.

 

Essays will be coordinated with these selections. Various types of essays are assigned in the course of the semester.

 

A research paper will be required of 8-10 pages.

 

Various other activities  such as, an imitation of a pilgrimage to Canterbury, Meet the Author Interview, and various skits from the plays on our list.

 

 

 

Objectives:

 

 

Students will be able to discuss and critique the selections on our list of literary selections.

 

Students will be able to write various types of essays, which are related to these literary selections.

 

Students will be able to write a research paper.
