Grading Scale

Homework: 5%

Daily Assignments: 50%

Weekly Tests: 25%

Unit Tests: 20%

Classroom Management

Rules:

· Follow directions the first time given

· Pay attention during class and all activities

· Show respect to others and to property

· Strive to do your best

· Come to class prepared. This includes having all homework assignments completed, required papers signed, and have the materials needed to work such as paper, pencil, and books.

Rewards:

· Verbal praise

· Group rewards

· Homework passes

· Test reward (when a student makes a grade of 93 or above on test related materials before the actual test is administered, the student may eliminate one problem of his/her choice from the test.)

· Positive letter sent home

Consequences:

· Verbal warning

· Think sheets

· Principal’s office

· Contact parents/guardians

· Behavior contract between student, parent(s), and teacher

Note: Severe disruptive actions such as fighting, cursing, stealing, carrying weapons, etc. will require that the student be immediately sent to the principal’s office without the administration of other consequences.
